The Royal Hawaiian Serenaders
The Royal Hawaiian Serenaders is a unique group specializing in Hawaiian
music but also playing a wide range of other music including Latin, Country Western, and
Jazz standards. This band is the official Temple Bar house band. Led
by Uncle Kem Loong who is also the instructor and leader of the Royal Hawaiian
Ukulele Band, this group plays the traditional Hawaiian music for the hula
dancers and Uncle Kem includes the Hawaiian steel guitar and
ukulele instrumentals, too. Roselani- guitar and baritone ukulele, Auntie
Mary ukulele, Kem Jr. bass guitar & ukulele, Karmen ukulele. As the house
band, the group performs regularly for Temple Bar's
special events and private catering parties. They have also performed for
events outside of Temple Bar. Their most recent performance was for the Chez Panisse Foundation in
Berkeley.
Inquire about adding this band to your next Temple Bar private or non-private
event. (You can book a non-private large party event with guests of 35 or
less.) The Royal Hawaiian Serenaders have plenty of energy and will surely
