The Hailama Uke Institute under the leadership and instruction of Hiram Bell is home based in San Francisco.  The band performs annually at the Ukulele Festival of Northern California.  They have also hosted the Aloha Sunday Open Mic.events held at the Templebar in Berkeley.  Always full of enthusiasm, this band always performs well to the credit of their instructor.  Hiram is the former vocalist and lead guitarist for another popular local Hawaiian music band, Eono Kane.   He also performs with his smaller band of local Hawaiian musicians for social events large or small.  Always putting on a great show and entertaining his guests with excellent musical ability, Hiram always pleases his fans!

In Hawaii, HUI means a gathering or an assembly of people. Instructor, Hiram Bell has assembled this wonderful group of students of all levels and ages who have a passion to play music, especially with their ukuleles. The HUI studies traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music, as well as a wide variety of other styles.

Hiram specializes in finger-picking and music theory and teaches at his school in South San Francisco. Lessons are also available for guitar, bass, harmonica and piano.  Many professional musicians have studied with him including multi-talended Evan Tom and others.  For more information email:   HIKABE@aol.com
