Evan Tom Band

After becoming proficient at the `ukulele, Evan soon taught himself how to play the guitar and bass. By ten he was arranging music. Enamored with that old-time Hawaiian sound, he eagerly studied Hawaiian lap steel guitar at thirteen. Gifted with perfect pitch and an intuitive ability to improvise, Evan dazzles audiences by rarely playing the same song quite the same way.
In 2007 Evan formed the “Evan Tom Band” with his uncle Marc Sato on guitar and
friend Uncle Joe Ho on `ukulele. Together they play traditional and
contemporary Hawaiian, jazz improvisation, and Latin music. They have appeared
at the Northern California `Ukulele Festival, Bay Area L&L Hawaiian BBQ
Restaurants, the Temple Bar Tiki Restaurant Aloha Sundays, and private
parties.
The Evan Tom Band just released a CD entitled, "38 Strings" that will be available
